Job Summary:

As the Managing Director of Bahamas Invest, you will be responsible for leading and directing the teams involved in investment promotion and investment approvals in The Bahamas. You will work closely with the Director of Promotion, Director of Approval, government agencies, community leaders, local elected officials, and other stakeholders to represent and promote Bahamas Invest to domestic and foreign companies. You will be the liaison and senior point of contact with the DPM and other leaders, defining the organization’s mission, vision, and values, and defining short and long-term agency goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategies for investment promotion and approvals in The Bahamas

Define the organization’s mission, vision, and values, and set short-and long-term agency goals

Track performance across different functions and hold staff accountable

Meet with elected officials and other stakeholders to address critical issues and concerns

Approve press releases, brochures, booklets, and other communications

Manage budget, allocate resources, and ensure compliance with local laws and regulations

Determine and implement policies and procedures for Promotion, Approvals, Compliance, and Performance Management teams

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, economics, finance, or related field

7+ years of experience in investment promotion and approvals, with a track record of success in managing teams and achieving targets

Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective strategies and solutions

Knowledge of local laws and regulations related to investment promotion and approvals in The Bahamas

Strong budget management skills, with the ability to allocate resources effectively and ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
